Geister sind entk\u00f6rperlichte und fluide Erscheinungen, nicht mehr als Luftz\u00fcge oder Windst\u00f6\u00dfe, die ihre Anwesenheit seit jeher den Visionen und imaginierten Bildern menschlicher Erz\u00e4hlungen verdanken. Sie manifestieren sich in der Unsch\u00e4rfe, zwischen Sichtbarkeit und Unsichtbarkeit und streifen uns fast unmerkbar. Dennoch hinterlassen Sie Schockwellen, die nur langsam verklingen.
\n<\/span>Daniel Nehring bringt in seiner Arbeit Geister, diese fl\u00fcchtigen Formen, zur Kristallisation. Die \u00dcbersetzung von K\u00f6rpern in digitale 3D-Modelle erm\u00f6glicht es ihm, die Parameter naturgetreuer Darstellung ebenso zu untersuchen, wie zu verschieben. In einer morphenden Choreografie bringt er bestehende 3D-Modelle menschlicher B\u00fcsten und selbst erstellte K\u00f6pfe fantastischer Wesen zum Verschmelzen. Die Urspr\u00fcnge l\u00f6sen sich hier in den \u00fcberblendenden Formen, Details und Oberfl\u00e4chen auf; die Haut verselbstst\u00e4ndigt sich im Spiel mit den Parametern der Software. An der Grenze zwischen Fl\u00e4che und Raum, Innen- und Au\u00dfenwelt definiert die Haut eine Schwelle mit komplexer Bedeutung: sie \u00f6ffnet sich in Daniel Nehrings Arbeit zu einem Bildraum, in dem mineralisch anmutende Anatomien und korallen\u00e4hnliche Verwachsungen zu pulsieren beginnen. Im spielerischen Umgang mit den digitalen Daten und Vektoren entstehen hybride Entit\u00e4ten, in denen noch die gescannten K\u00f6rperoberfl\u00e4chen durchscheinen, w\u00e4hrend sie gleichzeitig unter mystischen, skulpturalen und geologischen Schichtungen zu Mischwesen fusionieren.

Ghosts are disembodied and fluid apparitions, no more than drafts of air or gusts of wind that have always owed their presence to the visions and imagined images of human narratives. They manifest themselves in the blur, between visibility and invisibility, touching us almost imperceptibly. Yet they leave shockwaves that fade only slowly.
\n<\/span>In his work, Daniel Nehring brings these ephemeral forms to crystallization. The translation of human bodies into digital 3D models enables him to examine the parameters of naturalistic representation as well as to shift them. In a morphing choreography, he fuses existing 3D models of human busts and self-created heads of fantastic beings. The origins dissolve here in the blending forms, details and surfaces; the skin takes on a life of its own in the play with the parameters of the software. At the boundary between surface and space, inner and outer world, the skin defines a threshold with complex meaning: in Daniel Nehring's work, it opens up into a pictorial space in which mineral-like anatomies and coral-like adhesions begin to pulsate. In the playful handling of the digital data and vectors, hybrid entities emerge in which the scanned body surfaces still shine through, while at the same time merging into hybrid beings under mystical, sculptural and geological layers.
